About The Position
The Intermediate Teacher (4-8) position at Redding School District is responsible for providing an educational program for pupils in grades 4, 5, 6, and 8, or a combination thereof. The teacher will assist in other school programs as designed and is directly responsible to the Building Principal. The role involves teaching various subjects including reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, art, physical education, and music, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education. The teacher will also maintain the instructional program in music, physical education, and library skills as presented by specialist teachers. The position requires the development of lesson plans, individualized instruction, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
