About The Position

The Part-Time Seasonal/Temporary Cashier at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and supporting various store operations to contribute to the overall success of the business. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, particularly for nights and weekends, and may involve cross-training in multiple areas of the store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, counting change back according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
• Participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
