About The Position

The Title Clerk at Billion Automotive is responsible for managing vehicle title paperwork and supporting the accounting department with various light duties. This position ensures the accurate processing of titles, registrations, and related documents for all vehicle transactions, while also assisting with posting wholesale deals, stocking in vehicles, and other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive title processing or dealership accounting highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and dealership management systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in automotive title processing or dealership accounting highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Title Processing: Prepare, review, and process title documents for new and used vehicle sales, including submission to the appropriate state agencies.
  • Registration: Handle vehicle registrations and assist customers with any questions regarding licensing and titling requirements.
  • Wholesale Deal Posting: Post wholesale deals into the dealership’s accounting system, ensuring all documentation is accurate and transactions are properly recorded.
  • Stocking in Vehicles: Enter new inventory into the dealership’s management system, assigning stock numbers and updating vehicle records.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain organized electronic and physical files related to vehicle sales, titles, and accounting activities.
  • Customer Service: Communicate professionally with customers, lenders, and government agencies to resolve title or registration issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure all title and registration processes comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Assigned Duties: Perform other clerical and accounting tasks as assigned by management, such as reconciliation of sales records, assisting with accounts payable/receivable, and supporting the office team.
