Title Transfer Technician I
About The Position
The office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting for Title Transfer Technicians I. This class is responsible for reviewing recorded documents and determining change in ownership for assessment purposes, determining exclusion and exemption eligibility, interpreting, researching, and verifying legal descriptions of real property parcels. In addition, Title Transfer Technicians I will respond to public inquiries pertaining but not limited to: ownership, exclusions, exemptions, reassessment, and legal descriptions of real property. Requirements
- Must possess eighteen (18) months of experience explaining change in ownership, exclusion and exemption property tax laws, processing legal property documents (i.e., deeds, titles, liens) and interpreting legal descriptions of real property parcels. (Experience equivalent to a Title Transfer Technician in a California Assessor's Office).
- Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.
- A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
