About The Position

This position will administer the Title IV, Part A and Title IV, Part B programs and all of the related program requirements for approximately a third of the school divisions and grantees in Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for: - Providing technical expertise in the interpretation and implementation of federal grant requirements and understanding related policy trends - Providing technical assistance on site and via virtual methods to include Teams meeting, Canvas courses, and conferences - Conducting federal program monitoring for assigned school divisions; 4) reviewing and approving applications, budget requests, and reimbursement requests submitted for the assigned school divisions and regional programs - Managing the federal program monitoring for Title IV, Part B.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended, and Virginia's educational reform efforts;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices and methodologies for teaching a diverse population of students;
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and define problems; apply problem-solving techniques to complex educational issues; participate on teams to produce or coordinate the completion of projects; and communicate effectively;
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex information effectively to both technical and lay audiences in writing and orally;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines; coordinate, critique, and edit work products of team members; and coordinate training activities; and
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to use productivity software applications, such as word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience; an advanced degree in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in developing, planning, and administering federal programs is preferred.
  • Classroom and administrative experience is preferred.
