The Executive Director of Title III serves as the chief liaison to the University leadership, University community and the United States Department of Education. He or she has administrative responsibility for developing the proposals according to specified federal guidelines (Title III and the US. Department of Education) for the overall accomplishment of all Title III activities, and for the personnel associated with the activities. Specifically, the Executive Director oversees and manages the following Title III federal funds granted to Jackson State University: 1) Part B, Strengthening HBCUs; 2) Part F, Fostering Undergraduate Talent by Unlocking Resources for Education (FUTURE) Act; and 3) Part B, Strengthening Historically Black Graduate Institutions (HBO) Programs. This position ensures the effective use and stewardship of federal funds in alignment with the U.S. Department of Education regulations, 2 CFR Part 200, and applicable audit standards.
