About The Position

The Title III Director at Minnesota State University Moorhead is a grant-funded position responsible for managing the Title III Project DRACO, aimed at enhancing student retention and degree completion through innovative equity-based strategies. Requirements

  • Master's degree in business administration, higher education administration, project management, public policy, or related fields.
  • 3 years of administrative and/or supervisory experience in higher education with demonstrated experience in grant development and administration.
  • Knowledge of higher education operations, policies, and strategies for improving student retention.
  • Demonstrated competency in managing or implementing grant-related programs.
  • Stakeholder management and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in higher education administration, project management, public administration/policy, or related fields.
  • Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior experience with stakeholders to generate insights to increase student success through data analysis.
  • Experience in creating career-readiness or workforce development programs, engaging business and industry for shared outcomes, or designing curriculum to support student success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day needs of the DRACO Project, leading the implementation strategy and planning all strategies identified within the Title III proposal.
  • Work with the Title III Steering Committee, institutional leadership, and project staff to ensure effective and timely completion of project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and approve budgetary expenditures, leading the budget management process of Title III funds to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Communicate ongoing progress of the DRACO Project to internal and external constituents, including developing and delivering reports related to the project.
  • Oversee marketing efforts to constituencies, regional employers, and national industry sectors to promote the Title III project.
  • Ensure expenditures and activities adhere to MSUM policies and procedures, overseeing project recordkeeping for compliance and accessibility.
  • Prepare fiscal, technical, and progress reports for all project constituencies, assisting in the institutionalization of the project for long-term continuation.
  • Assess ongoing performance of the project, taking corrective action when necessary, and maintaining records of grant activity for compliance.
