About The Position

The primary function of the Title I Math Classroom Paraprofessional is to specifically work with identified Title I students during the school year, conference with classroom teacher, Title I teacher, and parents on areas that are receiving attention for identified students, model classroom teacher's methods of classroom discipline and methods of instruction, supply extra help for identified students after conferring with classroom teacher and Title I teacher.

Requirements

• A valid Illinois Paraprofessional License is required.
• Completion of 60 semester hours of college credit at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• Obtained an associate degree (or higher) at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License.

Responsibilities

• Work with identified Title I students during the school year.
• Confer with classroom teacher, Title I teacher, and parents on areas of attention for identified students.
• Model classroom teacher's methods of classroom discipline.
• Model methods of instruction.
• Provide extra help for identified students after conferring with classroom teacher and Title I teacher.
