About The Position

The Title I Intervention Teacher is responsible for planning and providing appropriate learning experiences and interventions to help students achieve grade level mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence. This role focuses on creating engaging and effective instructional practices tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed academically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
  • Meets the GAPSC requirement for certification.
  • Experience in providing individual and small group instruction preferred.
  • Meets Georgia state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Reading, Math, or applicable content area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops data driven, research-based interventions in a fun, engaging manner.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, students, and families.
  • Demonstrates command of school subject(s) taught.
  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides small group and individualized instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
  • Plans and implements developmentally appropriate interactive learning experiences.
  • Communicates regularly with parents.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning environment.
  • Monitors students' progress in learning through a variety of techniques.
  • Identifies pupil needs, develops strategies for small groups and/or individual education plans, implements any needed Tier II/III interventions and makes appropriate referrals through the school's student support model.
  • Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
  • Participates in professional learning as needed to support implementation of intervention curriculum materials.
  • Provides assessments that measure student achievement of objectives as well as progress monitors student growth towards identified goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
