Starting with a few agents who have a strong passion for real estate & mortgage careers, Pacificwide is currently on good momentum to grow with nearly 50 elite agents. We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Title Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will research and analyze public records and legal documents to verify property ownership, identify any liens, encumbrances, or restrictions, and ensure titles are clear for real estate transactions. Your work will support smooth property sales, refinancing, and title insurance processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years of escrow/title agency experience.
  • Working knowledge of real estate financing, escrow, title, and conveyance terminology; title insurance requirements and regulations; and underwriting procedures.
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and provide attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Working knowledge of TitleData or DataTrace software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Search public and private records (including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plats, and maps) to trace the chain of title and determine legal ownership.
  • Examine and verify the accuracy of property descriptions, ownership history, and any potential restrictions affecting the title.
  • Identify and summarize issues such as outstanding liens, judgments, or legal disputes that could impact property transfer.
  • Prepare title reports, abstracts, or commitments outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and title insurance professionals to resolve title issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant real estate laws and regulations.
