About The Position

TEKsystems is hiring a Title Examiner to join our clients growing team in Des Moines, Le Mars, Orange City, or Sibley! Prior experience as a Title Examiner or Paralegal aligns well! Description Understanding abstracts and chains of title. Analyzing how liens and encumbrances impact title. Applying the rules for creating Iowa-specific abstracting products. Enter new orders and maintain accurate records. Prepare and review Iowa Title Guaranty’s and Certificates. Generate search product reports such as 900/901s and Reports of Liens. Handle incoming orders over the phone. Address customer inquiries about order status, revisions, and other needs. Communicate with clients to gather information necessary for real estate transactions.

Requirements

Register of Deeds or accessors is preferred
Abstractor's title - preferred
Examiner experience - preferred
individual with strong attention to detail
must be self-motivated and work independently
will have little public face to face interaction - must be comfortable at a desk all day
Experience working with “Land”
ITG (Iowa Title Guaranty) experience
