About The Position
The Chemist intern will work with the Process Development team on the Universal Calibrator Project. Collaborating with Manufacturing Scientists to develop the Universal calibrator for Global Supply Chain's Hemoglobin A1c assays. Currently there are four different sets of calibrators for the various A1c assays. The Universal cal will replace those four sets with one set for all A1c assays. The Chemist intern will execute experiments to establish the final formulation of the calibrators as well as the cal value assignment process. The intern will build a deep understanding of the A1c calibrator value assignment process, and how the cal values maintain traceability to governing programs such as National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program (NGSP) and International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC).
