About The Position

As a Title Assistant II, you’ll provide advanced support to our Title Officers and team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of title documentation and processes. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in title work who are ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a title assistant or related role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to train and support junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth property research to verify ownership and identify encumbrances.
  • Analyze title documents including deeds, mortgages, liens, and easements.
  • Prepare and review title reports, commitments, and policies.
  • Record documents with county clerks and manage legal descriptions.
  • Maintain organized and compliant title records.
  • Assist with closing packages and final title policy distribution.
  • Perform complex data entry and utilize title software systems.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Interpret tax and assessment reports and issue endorsements and guarantees.
  • Support posting, locator duties, and property inspections as needed.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.
