About The Position
This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST (MI 127th CES), Position Description Number NGT5002000 and is part of the MI 127 Wing, National Guard. The position is located in the Environmental Management function at ARNG/ANG bases. Serves as the installation environmental program manager, providing expert technical advice directly to the Commander on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Installation Restoration Program (IRP), Air Space, Hazardous Waste and various other environmental programs. Represents the commander at various installation environmental meetings to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and federal, state, and local statutes. Serves as the single point of contact for the initiation, development, and execution of all environmental activities and development of installation regulatory guidance. Accomplishes long range base planning of environmental programs.
