About The Position

The position is for a Tutor at Haverhill Public Schools, specifically for School Spring #5401016. The Tutor will be responsible for providing small group instruction and participating in co-planning sessions. They will work with other support specialists to collect and disseminate student assessment information. The Tutor is expected to diagnose student weaknesses and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) Goals. Additionally, they will be responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Curriculum Supervisors and directives from the Superintendent of Schools or their designee, in accordance with the policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Requirements

• Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required.
• Knowledge of middle school philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
• Understanding of the middle school student and his/her early adolescent needs.
• Knowledge of recommended middle school instructional practices.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
