About The Position

The Title I Paraprofessional supports the classroom teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young Title 1 children. The paraprofessional assists in implementing developmentally appropriate instruction, classroom management, and daily routine to promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Title 1 Schools require Highly Qualified Status that would include either an Associate's Degree or an equivalent two years of college, Bachelor degree or Paraeducator II certification from the NH Dept of Education.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with planning and implementing lessons, activities, and learning centers aligned with the curriculum.
Support individual and small-group instruction under the direction of the lead teacher.
Reinforce learning concepts through play-based and hands-on activities.
Supervise children to ensure safety and appropriate behavior during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play.
Help with the classroom organization, setup, and cleanup of materials and learning areas.
Support students in developing self-help skills such as dressing, toileting, handwashing, and eating.
Foster a positive, respectful classroom climate that encourages curiosity, kindness, and cooperation.
Observe and report student progress or concerns to the classroom teacher.
Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation as directed.
Collaborate with the teacher and other staff to support students with diverse needs.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.
