This is a Title 1 position that offers a base salary of around $59,000.00 and NOT eligible for a performance bonus.   • Coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades K-5; Monitors the implementation and evaluation of these objectives
  • Plans and monitors teacher development and implementation of customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades including special populations
  • Evaluates effectiveness of the material
  • Supports course audits ensuring alignment to Title 1 state standards
  • Develops and aligns curriculum, assessments, and instructional materials to state standards
  • Ensures instructional programs meet all state and federal guidelines, including those for special populations (e.g., GT, ELL, Special Education)
  • Collaborates with teachers and administrators to design formative and summative assessments
  • Mentors/acts as a resource to teachers by providing expertise and ongoing support; Conducts curriculum meetings as required
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience
  • Curriculum Design experience
  • Working knowledge of Texas state standards (TEKS)
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Texas Teaching Certificate
  • Master's degree in Curriculum
  • Experience developing curriculum and assessment
  • Experience with building High Quality Instructional Materials for the classroom
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience teaching or leading in an online setting
