About The Position

The Title 1 Aide position at Steeby Elementary is a temporary role focused on supporting students in grades two and three. The aide will work closely with teachers to assist identified students in achieving their educational goals, providing targeted interventions and reinforcing learning materials. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students develop critical skills for their future.

Requirements

• Highly qualified with an Associates Degree or 2 years of study at an institution of higher learning (equal to 60 semester hours) required, teaching credentials preferred.
• Experience working with young children, specifically in a second and third-grade setting.
• Ability to communicate discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to work with children to resolve conflicts through a positive approach to behavior and discipline.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Dependable, punctual, with a positive work history.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Title 1 teacher(s) or classroom teacher(s) in helping identified students achieve desired outcomes.
• Work directly with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of materials or skills.
• Assist teachers as directed in providing Tier III intervention with targeted students.
• Evaluate student progress as directed by the teacher(s).
