ABOUT THIS JOB Location: Richmond, Virginia Department: Tissue Recovery Schedule: Full-Time | Shift work and On-Call. Holidays & Weekends as required; Overtime as needed. Travel 60% or more. Clinical Classification: Enhanced Clinical HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Tissue Recovery Surgical Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the sterile surgical recovery of clinical and research tissues, organs, and samples. You’ll perform all aspects of donor identification, assessment, and surgical preparation, as well as the post-recovery reconstruction and operative site restoration. You’ll work collaboratively with other team members to ensure accurate, quality, and efficient outcomes of the surgical processes ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and industry standards and regulations. You are responsible for maintaining their surgical recovery skills and will participate in training others. Your work will have purpose every single day, contributing directly to life-changing outcomes. Important: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles, and caps.
