Your Role in the Birth Journey As a Birth Tissue Donation & Advocacy Specialist, you'll be a calm, knowledgeable presence in the Labor & Delivery environment-supporting families during one of the most significant moments of their lives. You will: Build authentic, trust-based relationships with expecting parents using strong communication, empathy, and informed consent principles. Provide clear, pressure-free education on birth tissue donation, ensuring families feel empowered to make the choice that's right for them. Collaborate closely with Labor & Delivery staff as a respected partner in the birth process. Review medical records, conduct health history screenings, and obtain consent in full compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards. Collect and prepare donated birth tissue using aseptic techniques for shipment to our processing partner. Work independently while remaining flexible and responsive to the natural rhythm and unpredictability of birth. Have experience with or interest in aseptic technique, medical documentation, or clinical settings (highly valued).
