About The Position

Birth Tissue Donation & Advocacy Specialist Support Birth. Advocate for Families. Extend the Impact of Birth Beyond the Delivery Room. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM Pay: $22.42 per hour + acquisition premiums Location: At local partnering hospitals Full-Time with great benefits and generous PTO If you're passionate about supporting birthing families and informed choice, this role offers a meaningful way to make a difference in a Labor & Delivery setting-helping turn the gift of birth into healing through ethical, compassionate tissue donation. Your Role in the Birth Journey As a Birth Tissue Donation & Advocacy Specialist, you'll be a calm, knowledgeable presence in the Labor & Delivery environment-supporting families during one of the most significant moments of their lives. You will: Build authentic, trust-based relationships with expecting parents using strong communication, empathy, and informed consent principles. Provide clear, pressure-free education on birth tissue donation, ensuring families feel empowered to make the choice that's right for them. Collaborate closely with Labor & Delivery staff as a respected partner in the birth process. Review medical records, conduct health history screenings, and obtain consent in full compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards. Collect and prepare donated birth tissue using aseptic techniques for shipment to our processing partner. Work independently while remaining flexible and responsive to the natural rhythm and unpredictability of birth.
