About The Position

The Tire Technician is responsible for installing, balancing, rotating, repairing, and inspecting tires. Utilizing tire changers and balancing machines, they will ensure proper installation and performance. They will identify damage, recommend replacements, and perform maintenance tasks while adhering to safety procedures and working with the Service Advisors regarding customer needs.

Requirements

  • Has a valid Utah Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Has the physical ability to lift heavy tires, perform repetitive tasks, and stand on hard tile floor all day
  • Has the mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Is able to operate tire changing and balancing equipment
  • Pays attention to detail to identify tire issues
  • Has good communication skills to interact with Advisors & co-workers

Responsibilities

  • Inspection: Check tires for wear, damage, punctures, and tread depth
  • Repair: Patch small punctures, repairing minor tire damage
  • Balancing: Use a wheel balancing machine to ensure smooth ride
  • Rotation: Promote even wear by rotating tires
  • Installation and removal: Mount and dismount tires using machine.
  • Communication: Work with Advisors on tire maintenance, replacement needs, and tire options
  • Safety procedures: Following safety protocols when handling tires and operating machinery
  • Maintenance: Care for machines and your work area
