The Tire Technician is responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, properly installing and repairing tires, completing necessary tire bay documentation, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures. Club Standards involve working as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, maintaining a grand opening look, ensuring all items are stocked and promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, and a clean and organized club. Team members should also know their business by understanding how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for their department and seeing the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
• Properly install and repair tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Complete necessary tire bay documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintain tire bay policies and procedures.
• Properly dispose of tires.
• Ensure propane tanks are filled per club policy and as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Ensure knowledgeable service is provided to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understand and appropriately utilize available special-order tire programs.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
