About The Position

GCR is one of the largest, safest, and most trusted providers of Off-The-Road and Mining tires and service in the country. Our extensive experience, expertise, products and services provide customers availability to World Class Off-The-Road and Mining tire and service solutions. Our solution-based offers are customized around the needs of each customer, with a commitment to making mining mobility safe, profitable, and efficient. GCR operates 9 Stores, 2 Bandag Retread Plants, and 5 Off-The-Road Tire Repair Facilities in 5 states, along with managing tire programs at several remote mine locations. In short, GCR operates anywhere mining equipment is operated.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with large commercial, off-road, farm, industrial, and mining tires.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle and/or move tires weighing up to 250 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid CDL with a Class B minimum.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) certification (required).
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test, DOT physical exam, and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in on-site tire installation, repair, and maintenance services at customer locations.
  • Manage a team of tire technicians, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive fleet inspections, identifying equipment and tire-related issues.
  • Safely operate heavy-duty company vehicles to transport equipment and personnel.
  • Utilize specialized equipment and tools to perform complex tire services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex tire-related problems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, DOT regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
