About The Position

Howard Orloff Imports is a family-owned and operated automotive service center located in the bustling Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago, serving the community for over 65 years. They specialize in selling and servicing Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo, as well as all pre-owned makes and models. The company is seeking a reliable Tire Technician to join their team, emphasizing the need for experienced technicians to provide optimum service in one of the city's finest and most efficient repair shops.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
Must have a valid IL driver's license
Must be willing to submit for a background check and drug screen (marijuana result does not affect our hiring decisions)
1+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience preferred
Willingness to participate in in-house and/or manufacturer training
Ability to operate some auto repair tools
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Volvo, Land Rover, and/or Jaguar brand technical experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.
Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
Fill out Multi-point Inspection form whenever applicable.
Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to address other issues found when servicing tires.
Operate tire machine to efficiently mount and balance tires.
Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts, when applicable.
Document all work performed on RO.
Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
MUST follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
