The Tire Sales and Installation role is responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, properly installing and repairing tires, completing necessary tire bay documentation, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures. Team members are expected to carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, act with honesty and integrity, prioritize member concerns, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively, move with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude. The role also involves delivering service excellence to members, resolving concerns, and ensuring a safe and positive experience. Adherence to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and GOLD Club Standards (Grand opening look daily, stocked items, executed promotional plans, visible accurate signage, clean and organized club) is crucial. Team members should also understand and utilize production and financial performance reporting for their department.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
  • Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
  • Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires.
  • Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
  • Repair tires.
  • Complete necessary tire bay documentation.
  • Maintain tire bay policies and procedures.
  • Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support the application of club policies, procedures and compliance.
  • Act with honesty and integrity and lead with the member in mind to address any and all concerns and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate.

  • Ensure all items are stocked and promotional plans executed.
  • Maintain visible accurate signage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized club, inside and out.
  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for your department.
  • Responsible for properly disposing of tires.
  • Ensure propane tanks are filled per club policy.
  • Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
  • Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
  • Ensure that knowledgeable service is provided to members at the tire desk.
  • Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
  • Understand and appropriately utilize available special-order tire programs.
  • Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
  • Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires including verifying the sizes for vehicles.
  • Fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
  • Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
  • Ensure that all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
