About The Position

The Tire Installation Associate at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for assisting members with tire selection and purchase, performing tire installations and repairs, and maintaining tire bay operations. This role emphasizes service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a positive experience for members while supporting club policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn required.
• Prior tire installation experience preferred.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service roles.
• Knowledge of automotive products and services.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires.
• Properly install, repair, and maintain tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Complete necessary tire bay documentation and maintain tire bay policies and procedures.
• Ensure a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Maintain accurate supply inventory and utilize special-order tire programs as needed.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Fill propane tanks as needed, if certified per DOT requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve club goals and standards.
