About The Position

Our ideal candidate should have previous experience as a Tire technician. The Tire Mechanic will be DOT Certified. We are looking for a self-motivated person with strong work ethics. Responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining tires on all DOT Equipment

Requirements

• DOT certifications
• Must pass a medical physical, drug screen and background check
• Must be punctual and good attendance required for this position
• Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands

Nice To Haves

• Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
• Diesel Mechanic school or certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and repair all Tires on Semi-Trailers to meet the standards set forth by DOT
• Install new tires and wheels
• Perform maintenance on tires, Including rotation, balancing repairs and cleaning
• Repair tires
• Remove and replace hubs
• Clean up work area at the end of shift
• Keep work areas neat and orderly
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions
• Organizing materials to have more effective use of space
• Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner
• Inspection to ensure cleanup is completed
