We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Oil & Lube Technician to join our growing team. Role Description The Tire / Oil / Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services in a fast-paced automotive shop environment. This position focuses primarily on oil changes, tire mounting, balancing, and basic preventative maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of prior automotive service experience and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Oil & Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections. This is a hands-on, entry-level technician role that supports senior Automotive Technicians while building foundational mechanical skills. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow into a full Automotive Technician role.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year automotive service experience preferred
  • Experience performing oil changes and tire services required
  • Ability to work in cooperation with others in a team environment
  • Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments
  • Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work independently when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Prolonged standing (8-10+ hours per day)
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to work under vehicles using lifts
  • Comfortable working around automotive fluids, tools, and shop equipment
  • Ability to work in varying shop temperatures
  • Full-time position, 40-45 hours a week
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include an assortment of days, evenings, and/or weekends (as needed) to support business operations and customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance Services
  • Perform oil and filter changes
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Rotate and balance tires
  • Check and top off fluids (coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.)
  • Replace air filters and cabin filters
  • Inspect belts, hoses, brakes, and other key components
  • Maintain accurate service documentation
  • Shop Support & Teamwork
  • Assist Automotive Technicians as needed
  • Move vehicles safely in and out of service bays
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
  • Communicate findings clearly to Service Writers and management
