About The Position
Tire Kingdom, now part of the Mavis Tires Family, is seeking full-time Automotive Assistants and Service Managers to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Melbourne, FL area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the repair shop. This position involves scheduling the work of mechanics and technicians, ordering necessary parts, and ensuring that jobs are completed on time and to a high standard that exceeds customer expectations. Safety and cleanliness in the shop are also key responsibilities. Candidates should have a solid understanding of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems, along with basic math and computer skills. Effective communication of safety and mechanical issues to the store manager is essential, as is possessing basic supervisory and leadership skills to be fully effective in this role. The Service Manager is tasked with assisting customers in selecting tires and understanding the under-car repair services they may need. This role is sales-oriented and requires prior sales experience, particularly in products and services that involve up-selling techniques. A strong knowledge of automotive repairs and the industry is advantageous. Success in this position hinges on excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and a focus on achieving results.
