About The Position

The purpose of the job is to effectively supervise employees working in the Tire Bay department and monitor all operations within the department. The Tire Bay supervisor will be responsible for all functions of the Tire Bay department. Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment.
• Proficient in computer operations.
• Ability to lift in excess of 130 lbs.
• Ability to operate company equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of tire industry experience.
• Basic inventory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and ensure productivity on shop floors while also enforcing company policies.
• Communication with Shop Managers and Shop Foremen to ensure productivity and accurate information dissemination to all involved employees.
• Conduct employee training involving aspects of new hire orientation, safety training, and coordinating on the job training.
• Grade used tires and allocate tires for selling, recapping, or scrapping.
• Process repair orders for any repaired or replaced tires.
• Establish and maintain inventory control on all tires in stock.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
• Track and monitor tire casing when out for recapping
• Dismount and mount tires on wheels.
