About The Position

The role of Tipping Floor Supervisor at Reworld Plymouth must foster an environment of Safety, Environmental Stewardship, and a commitment to our customers. In this leadership role, the person must be able to direct their team through mentoring and coaching to achieve excellence in operating a TTF facility.

Requirements

  • Requires a background in plant operations, including at least five (5) years’ experience in hands-on and /or supervision of tipping floor activities, traffic control, and mobile equipment maintenance
  • Walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Review, prioritize, and direct the daily work activities of the fuels group during the assigned shift.
  • Manage the functional activities of the Loader Shop, Scale House, NY Container Operations, Site and Grounds, Tipping Floor Operations, Turn Times, Ash Load‑Out Operations, and Ferrous/Non‑Ferrous Load‑Out to ensure quality and maintain inventory levels without impacting plant production.
  • Communicate with the Regional Asset Manager to ensure proper levels of MSW and tire inventory on the tipping floor.
  • Oversee workforce scheduling, PTO coverage, and overtime tracking.
  • Handle timecard approvals, annual performance reviews, and administer discipline when necessary.
  • Oversee training for all new hires and existing team members.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce safety procedures and policies for the Fuels Department and supporting teams.
  • Closely monitor facility production and maintenance activities; assist in planning and executing scheduled and unscheduled outages; and ensure the timely completion of operational duties.
  • Support the development of operating procedures and instructions, and assist in evaluating and recommending plant improvements.
  • Collaborate with representatives from other departments to address and resolve interrelated administrative, organizational, and technical issues.
