About The Position

The Tipper Operator is responsible for operating tipping equipment to accurately
affix inserts, cards, samples, or other components onto printed materials. This
role ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety
requirements while minimizing waste and downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous bindery, tipping, or printing experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment
• Ability to read measurements and understand production specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Safety awareness and compliance

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust tipping machines according to job specifications
• Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
• Accurately tip inserts, reply cards, samples, or other materials onto printed pieces
• Load materials, adhesives, and components into the machine
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper placement, adhesion, and alignment
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed during production
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance
• Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate issues or concerns to supervisors or maintenance promptly
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
