About The Position

Join Our Team as a Tipper Operator! 📍 Location: 375 Dozer Drive Polkton, NC 28135 💰 Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience We are seeking a safety-conscious Tipper Operator to support daily operations at our Anson County Transfer Station. This role primarily involves operating front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to manage solid waste and recyclable materials. The ideal candidate ensures efficient and compliant waste handling in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu)
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Must have effective audio and visual perception for job duties

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders to load waste and recyclables into the outbound trailer
• Navigate equipment safely within tight, high-traffic areas of the yard
• Perform daily equipment inspections using Whip Around Systems
• Conduct routine maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, minor repairs)
• Manage waste piles to prevent overflow and contamination
• Coordinate trailer swaps with scale house staff and truck drivers
• Keep work areas clean and properly store equipment after shifts
• Assist with additional tasks as needed
