About The Position

This position supports the department by performing various tasks related to payroll and timekeeping. Responsibilities include actively participating in system upgrades and onboarding new sites, which involves creating test scenarios, testing system functionality, documenting process changes, training, and creating reports. The role also assists in the coordination and processing of payroll, analyzing and submitting adjustments and retro rate changes, and setting up payroll entries. Additionally, the incumbent serves as the first resource for managers to resolve paycheck and timecard questions, completes wage verifications and accident reports, and maintains data integrity in payroll and timekeeping systems. The position requires continuous review and maintenance of relevant processes to ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in business or computer related field OR a High School/GED and 2-3 years of experience in a business environment.
  • High proficiency in use of mainframe systems and PC/Network application skills.
  • Strong computer keyboard skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment.
  • High knowledge of HR functions, processes, and policies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Familiarity with various computer systems software (Word, Excel, relational database, client/server).
  • Experience with basic accounting/payroll terminology and principles.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete wage verifications and accident reports for various entities.
  • Analyze and maintain data integrity in Payroll and Timekeeping.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Mayo sites' Timekeeping practices and policies.
  • Create, review, and update How To Guides, e-Learning, and online documents.
  • Continuously review and maintain all relevant processes for accurate timekeeping and payroll.
