About The Position

The Timecard Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile labor discrepancies. Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records. Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records. Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records. Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases. Collect and distribute timecards and labor hours on a weekly basis. Verify, and process forms and documentation for administration of benefit earning codes such as military leave, jury duty, and medical leave of absence. Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile teammate, subcontractor and issued payrolls to posted labor and General Ledger. Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts as needed. Train employees on organizations' timekeeping systems and processes. Conduct internal timekeeping audits; prepare documentation and support external audits as required. Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality information to the leadership team. Assist with special projects as assigned by the manager. The successful candidate will: Have advanced oral and written communication skills. Have a comprehensive knowledge of adhering to company policies/procedures and workflow processes. Be a self-starter with the ability to adjust to shifting work priorities in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight. Display responsiveness, flexibility, organization, and detail oriented. Be able to perform tasks successfully with minimal oversight within short timelines. Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of directly related experience in an administrative or finance role.
  • Must have a general understanding of standard accounting principles.
  • Must have a basic understanding of timekeeping and payroll concepts.
  • Must have experience performing data analysis using spreadsheets and relational database programs.
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for large volumes of data.
  • Operating standard office equipment including proficiency in computerized accounting systems.
  • Analytical skills, ability to dig into the details and provide recommendations.
  • Must have an understanding of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
