About The Position

We are hiring a Time of Service Specialist for an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in our regional suport office! This will be a hybrid role after 2 to 4 weeks of training. Training is in our Regional Support office M-F from 8-5. After completing training you will work 4 days remote / 1 day at our Regional Support office in Alpharetta. Heart and Vascular Care is a cardiology practice that places a priority on compassionate patient care and service. Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a medical/collections/customer service setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review each scheduled service to confirm that all information related to patient insurance is correct and verified prior to patient arrival.
Maintain five business days ahead of scheduled services to ensure timely review of the necessary information and make any necessary corrections.
Review benefit information to calculate estimated amounts due for all provider services and exercise stress tests.
Document the patient responsibility amount due details in the patient appointment.
Provide estimates and/or call patients to inform them of benefit determination and patient responsibility.
Assist, document, and/or escalate payment plans inquiries and needs for patients, and discuss terms and conditions as appropriate and as needed.
Ensure the correct insurance package, network participation, referrals, and insurance requirements for appointment are obtained.
Inform patients of outstanding balance and/or escalate to patient account specialist.
