As a Time & Attendance Specialist, you will work closely with the Time & Attendance Administrator and cross-functional teams to support accurate billing and payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of billing, payroll, or timekeeping experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with time/attendance or payroll systems is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test if requested.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Professionalism working with staff, families, and community partners.

  • Experience with time/attendance or payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review employee time records and authorization data to ensure accuracy and billable hours.
  • Collaborate with county offices, payroll, and billing teams to resolve timecard issues and answer system-related questions.
  • Identify and correct exceptions, time-entry errors, and eligibility issues to minimize unbillable time.
  • Communicate with DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) and families/guardians to clarify time entries and authorizations.
  • Monitor time-clock trends and proactively address over-clocks or discrepancies before payroll submission.
  • Analyze and improve timekeeping processes to optimize authorized hours and reduce unnecessary overtime.
  • Investigate punch anomalies and correct classification errors.
