The Market Development Representative is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day business activities related to the digital wholesale channel, with a focus on Amazon. Working proactively and collaboratively with the Amazon Account Executive to elevate the customer experience by creating and managing on-site content. You will identify opportunities to improve Timberland’s brand presence on-site while managing information and assets within Amazon’s systems to maintain organization and consistency across our catalog of products. MDR will also develop a thorough understanding of the Amazon online marketplace (onsite performance, consumer understanding, current/future market opportunities, etc), while having new product template duties and create a service distinction with this key retail partner through detailed account planning. You'll be a trusted member of our team reporting to the Director of Sales. You'll collaborate and liaise with the digital wholesale sales team and work closely with Product Merch and Marketing teams to support Amazon’s needs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working in an e-commerce environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
  • Proven sales track record with demonstrated success in achieving quota.
  • Experience with following sales processes and using CRM (Salesforce a plus).
  • Incredibly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Motivated to break into new opportunities with a creative edge.
  • Natural leader with the ability to inspire others.
  • Clear communicator with a sense of urgency to get the job done.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/MS in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience in communicating with managers, directors, VPs, and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day business activities related to the digital wholesale channel, focusing on Amazon.

  • Attend seasonal sales meetings.
