About The Position

Cabin Creek Timber Frames Inc is seeking full-time Timber Framers to join their team. This position involves working with heavy timber frames and hand-carved carpentry, primarily in a shop environment with some travel to installation sites. The company is veteran-owned and offers training for candidates without prior experience.

Requirements

• No experience required; training will be provided.
• Preference given to veterans.
• Good math skills are necessary (ability to read measurements up to 1/18th of an inch).
• Proficiency with skill saws, chisels, and tool sharpening is preferred but training is available.
• Preferably 2 years of cabinet making or timber framing experience.
• Previous experience reading blueprints is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with heavy timber frames and hand-carved carpentry.
• Perform timber frame carpentry using mortise and tenon, wooden pegs.
• Engage in shop work for 90% of the time, with 10% dedicated to raising frames.
• Climb heights during frame raising as required.
• Travel to installation sites, with travel benefits provided for out-of-town work.
