About The Position

The TIERS Applications Analyst at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is responsible for performing complex analysis, testing, and technical support for the TIERS Suite of Applications. This role involves assisting staff with application issues, providing instructions for optimal performance, and supporting a wide range of users including field staff and community partners. The analyst will diagnose system problems, document resolutions, and ensure compliance with service level agreements while coordinating with development teams to address software defects.

Requirements

• 3 years of customer service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting software issues.
• Proficient computer skills, including navigating multiple applications.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with HHSC State programs such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, CHIP, or Medicare.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly complex analysis in the HHSC TIERS Suite of Applications.
• Assist staff experiencing application issues and provide instructions for optimal performance.
• Support Access and Eligibility Services (AES) TIERS Suite users, including over 7,000 field staff and vendor call center staff.
• Diagnose system problems and conduct root cause analysis through troubleshooting.
• Document all steps taken in the ticketing system, including communication with end users and resolutions.
• Evaluate application or network issues reported by end users and recommend actions to resolve them.
• Coordinate with development staff to evaluate and recommend actions on software data corruption issues.
• Translate technical issues for developers and communicate solutions clearly to end users.
• Monitor resolution timeliness to comply with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Provide assistance to other HHSC entities and state agencies using TIERS Suite of applications.
