About The Position
The Tier II Technician (Network Designer II) position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems for government clients. This position requires a deep understanding of network architecture and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and other technical staff to ensure that network solutions meet the specific needs of our government clients while adhering to security protocols and compliance standards. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting network assessments, designing network solutions, and implementing changes to improve network performance. You will also be tasked with monitoring network traffic and performance, identifying potential issues before they escalate, and providing technical support to end-users. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Additionally, the Tier II Technician will be involved in documenting network configurations, maintaining inventory of network devices, and assisting in the development of network policies and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and stay updated with the latest technologies in network design and management.
