About The Position

Industrial Sites - The Security Officer ensures efficient and professional security operations at work sites within the appointed region. This position is a working level Security Officer who actively works onsite, securing the client’s property, location and deterring suspicious activity. Security Officers will report any suspicious activity immediately to the site lead on location. This position will be scanning vehicles in and out of lots, providing radio checks and working closely with Client Management.

• Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
• Refer to the Standard Operating Procedures in Employee Manual regarding Use of Force
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as needed
• Must be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premises
• Must be able to quickly de -escalate and/or respond to security or safety threats.
• Must have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speech
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and be able to provide documentation

Nice To Haves

• Law enforcement, public safety, or military experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work to ensure the assigned premises and/or people are kept safe and secure
• Work closely and cooperatively with staff at assigned premises to ensure they are safe and secure
• React and respond quickly to dangerous/hazardous situations
• Monitor assigned location with high degree of attentiveness to surroundings
• Communicate effectively to site team using assigned radio
• Identify and correct inefficiencies, liabilities, and safety hazards at work sites
• Provide detailed information to authorities as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management
