The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician to support global enterprise networks. Our team is completely replacing a global enterprise network while providing design, engineering, and transition for a wide range of customer network requirements. This is a unique and rare opportunity to build and transition critical operations to a modern service provider network architecture. The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows: The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices. Respond to and resolve incidents, demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team. Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs). Draft and implement standard network change requests. Provide support to senior network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, install/de-installs). Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process). Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP). Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, spanning tree, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs). Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE). Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS. Experience with Visio. Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence. May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs.
