They are responsible for securing and unfastening rail containers and trailers, supporting ramp contractors, spotting inbound trains, transporting crews within ramp areas, and operating cone buggy vehicles. Opportunities for advancement and training: Tie-down clerks who fulfill the typing requirements have the option to apply for other clerical positions (office work) that become available after one year of service.
