About The Position

This Sales Representative is the face of Old Town Trolley Tours of Boston (OTT-Bos). You are often the first person from our company our guests meet. You inspire our guests to take our tours and visit attractions and you are an ambassador for your city. Our guests should understand what they would miss if they did not see our city on our trolley tours. To do this well, you must be knowledgeable about our offerings and your city and give our guests what you would want if you were visiting a city with the hopes of making memories of a lifetime.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations to satisfy the needs of our guests.
  • Have demonstrable sales skills
  • Have excellent math skills
  • Ability to work with money, credit cards, and cash receipts
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Have a passion for helping people and making their Boston experience a memorable one.
  • Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search

Responsibilities

  • Greet everyone you meet with a smile and prompt service, and extend courtesy, friendliness, and hospitality.
  • Give every guest the ultimate compliment of recognition and attention and guide them to the best offerings based on their interests and time in your city.
  • Be knowledgeable and passionate about our products and the most popular things to do at each trolley stop.
  • Utilize exceptional sales skills including a strong pitch, prospecting, handling objections, cross-selling, upselling, and closing the deal.
  • Present the cost of tours and attractions based on the company’s pricing system.
