About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System is expanding and seeking a General Cardiologist with cardiac MRI expertise to join the dynamic team at our St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in beautiful Topeka, Kansas. This is an incredible opportunity to become part of a well-established and growing practice while enjoying the resources of a renowned academic health system. * Full-Time Employment (1.0 FTE) * Inpatient/Outpatient Mix * Single-Specialty Group of 9 Cardiologists, 8 APC, and support staff (RN, LPN, CAN, MA, secretarial and front office) * Clinical practice plus dedicated admin time, no research nor teaching required * Procedure Rooms and Testing Available On-Site: Nuclear Stress, Echo, Vascular Sonography, Coumadin Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vein Clinic * Referrals from Primary Care and Multiple Specialists * Schedule: varies, some weekend requirement. * Daily Patient Load: Clinical 2-3 patients per hour; Inpatient varies * Call: 1:6 day rotation (5 per month), telephone only and with excess call pay * EMR: Epic

Requirements

• ABIM Board Certified/Eligible Cardiologist
• Fellowship Training in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases
• Cardiology Fellows interested in a clinical setting are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in a mix of inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage a daily patient load of 2-3 patients per hour in clinical settings
• Participate in a call rotation of 1:6 days
• Utilize on-site procedure rooms and testing facilities
• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists and support staff
