What You'll Do: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Andwell Hospice Thrift Store locations, ensuring an organized, welcoming, and safe retail environment Supervise, support, and schedule a large volunteer workforce, matching volunteers to roles based on interests, skills, and store needs Lead and train volunteers across all areas of store operations, including donations, sorting, pricing, displays, and sales Maintain store policies, procedures, and safety standards, and ensure volunteers are informed of updates Manage inventory flow from donation intake through pricing and merchandising Create attractive, seasonal displays and implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals Monitor customer experience and resolve concerns to maintain the store’s positive reputation Track sales, analyze revenue trends, and manage controllable expenses to support profitability Coordinate deposits, purchasing, and basic financial documentation Support marketing efforts, including managing social media presence and customer engagement initiatives Travel regularly between store locations, the distribution center, and Andwell’s main office as needed What You'll Bring: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, including staff or volunteer supervision Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Experience with merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and customer service Comfort working with point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, email, and basic office technology Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound, independent decisions Experience working with volunteers and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment Interest or experience in digital marketing or online retail (strongly preferred) Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform retail-related physical tasks Commitment to Andwell’s mission and to providing excellent service in support of patient care in our community Come see what we do with a job shadow!
