The position will assist with the operation of The Salvation Army
Family Store & Donation Center by performing the essential function assigned to
the position.
Process donations by sorting, hanging, pricing, and stocking
Assist with receiving, unloading and loading donations and merchandise
Operate cash register, serve as clerk, provide customer service as directed
Maintain facility in a neat, clean and safe condition
Assist with loss protection as directed
Assist with other programs, including but not limited to, Red Kettles,
Christmas Angel Tree, auctions and food drives
Other duties as directed
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience if retail sales preferred as well as working with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation to customers, clients and other employees
Ability to use basic office equipment including cash register, copy machine, fax machine and telephone
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide numbers
Ability to perform operations using units of American money
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to work in a team environment
Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business
