The position will assist with the operation of The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center by performing the essential function assigned to the position.   • Process donations by sorting, hanging, pricing, and stocking
  • Assist with receiving, unloading and loading donations and merchandise
  • Operate cash register, serve as clerk, provide customer service as directed
  • Maintain facility in a neat, clean and safe condition
  • Assist with loss protection as directed
  • Assist with other programs, including but not limited to, Red Kettles, Christmas Angel Tree, auctions and food drives
  • Other duties as directed
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation to customers, clients and other employees
  • Ability to use basic office equipment including cash register, copy machine, fax machine and telephone
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide numbers
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Include, speaking, hearing and vision; excellent manual dexterity; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 40 pounds; bending, squatting and walking; standing up to 8 hours per day.
  • Yes. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
  • Experience if retail sales preferred as well as working with people from diverse backgrounds
