About The Position

Ensure all donated items are sorted and priced in a timely manner. Help in the Thrift Store with stocking shelves and display of merchandise. Maintain a clean, shopper-friendly environment in Thrift Store. Provide fast, friendly customer service when working in Thrift Store and accepting donations. Assist with clerk responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 6 months of experience working on a register and customer service.
Able to handle cash, make change, and operate cash register.
Excellent telephone skills.
Customer service mindset.
Must be able to understand instructions concerning handling and marking of merchandise.

Operating cash register
Pricing
Stocking
Displaying
Outdating
Assisting customers and donors promptly and courteously. Includes assisting customers with loading purchases and donors with unloading donations. Inform donors when donations are unusable.
Sorting, prepping, and cleaning donations to make ready for sale.
Keep the store straightened including clean and tidy appearance at checkout counter, dressing rooms.
Keep the store’s interior and exterior clean by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, cleaning break room, washroom, or washing windows.
Working with volunteers and community service workers to ensure efficient operations.
Answer phones and take detailed messages.
Schedule donation pick-ups when needed.
Respond appropriately to all customer concerns and complaints and refer unresolved matters to the Store Manager.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designated representatives.
